Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. This policy describes the cookies and similar storage Bidlemon uses and how you can control them.
Bidlemon does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Almost everything we set is strictly necessary to run the service; the only optional category is third-party media embedded in blog articles, which you can allow or refuse from the cookie banner at any time.
1. Cookies we set
- Authentication (Supabase, names starting with "sb-"): keep your session open so you do not have to sign in on every page. Created when you sign in and kept until you sign out or they expire.
- bidlemon_password_recovery: a short-lived marker (15 minutes) proving you arrived from a password-reset email, so the reset page only works from that link.
- bidlemon_admin_customer: administrators only — remembers which customer workspace is open in the admin panel for 7 days.
- bidlemon_cookie_consent: stores the choice you made in the cookie banner for 12 months, so we do not ask again on every visit.
2. Browser storage
- During signup we keep your onboarding details (plan, company, brand) in the browser's sessionStorage so an interrupted signup can be finished; it is removed once the account is complete.
- Your light/dark theme choice is kept in localStorage (bidlemon-app-theme) so the app opens with the look you picked.
- Administrators only: a 5-minute cache of the service health check is kept in sessionStorage while the admin panel is open.
- The site language is derived from your browser's language settings and is not stored anywhere.
3. Third-party cookies
- Stripe: payment is completed on Stripe Checkout, which sets its own cookies on stripe.com for security and fraud prevention. Nothing is set on Bidlemon's domain.
- Embedded media (YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, LinkedIn): blog articles may embed videos or posts from these platforms, which set their own cookies when the content loads. They only load if you allow "Embedded media" in the cookie banner; otherwise you see a placeholder with the option to accept. Videos served through youtube-nocookie.com avoid cookies until you play them and load without consent.
4. Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the page footer, which reopens the preferences panel. Refusing the optional category never limits the rest of the site.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Because the cookies we set ourselves are essential, blocking them prevents signing in and using the application; the public website keeps working.
